ProBlogger.net gives away over $54,000 in prizes for third anniversary!

Posted on 01 October 2007 by Lara Kulpa

This is simply amazing… Darren Rowse is celebrating his ProBlogger Birthday Bash in a huge way, by giving away prizes worth over $54,000!

Darren has hired Anubis Marketing to manage the giveaway celebration, so I’m here to tell you with insider information that there are some prizes here you are NOT going to want to miss out on! We’ve got everything from CD’s and books to pure cash to super hi-def computer monitors to full on web site designs and theme songs for video bloggers!

Some of the “contest” will require readers to simply post a comment in a certain post, and yet others will require blog owners to actually write a post on their sites and tell us about it in the comments. All winners are chosen at random, but you can’t win if you don’t play! So you need to get over to ProBlogger and subscribe to the RSS feed immediately so you can be on top of all the news and happenings. It’s not a condition of entry, but since everything will be going off at random times, it’ll help you stay “in the know”!

More New Client Announcements!

Posted on 05 June 2007 by Lara Kulpa

I’ve got a few more announcements to make about recent clients we’ve worked with here at Anubis Marketing. I love to brag - but moreso brag about my clients, than the work we’ve done! (You’ll see why when you see who they are!)

  • Tina Dame-Zawisza - Tina’s one of the stars of the new hit reality show on ABC “The Ex-Wives Club” (her episode aired Monday, June 4th, 2007). Tina had us build her a site a while back when she was doing more of her modeling and acting work, and we decided it was time for a fresh new site because of the show.
  • Lynn Jones - Lynn’s another wonderful lady I met because of Tina, who is also on the show (I’m not sure yet when her episode airs, but check out her site - I’m sure she’ll post it.)

I’ll be spending the latter half of this week at the FOOA Conference and with Darren Rowse at a meetup on Saturday night - all in Manhattan. I’ll try to post while I’m there, but conference trips are never predictable! :)

Busy, busy!

Posted on 11 May 2007 by Lara Kulpa

Well, we’ve been quite busy around here lately! So much so that I haven’t had time to sit down and write a decent post here, so this one’s just going to be a quick update of some of our recent projects.

  • Saratoga Comedy Club - We did a complete overhaul on the site, building it back up from scratch using WordPress for the content management system. The site now offers full RSS feeds, so those who enjoy the club locally can get the news and updated schedule right to their feedreaders. It features a much more streamlined look, with less clutter than before. I’m really pleased with the way the site’s turned out, as are Jodi and Vinnie and their patrons to the club.
  • Laugh and Heal - Brand spankin’ new site for comedian John Mulrooney. His old site was extremely outdated (For those of you who might understand this, it was built (and currently maintained) with FrontPage 3! I didn’t know any computers out there could still run that!) so we really needed to do a brand new site. There are a few tweaks still being made at this time, but for the most part, it’s exactly what John wanted, and his fans are already coming through to compliment it!
  • Comedian Steve Adiletta - Steve Feels Funny - Steve wanted a site without too much “clutter”, a sort of “shiny” appearance, simple yet dramatic. I grabbed a theme I found at WordPress Themes and did some image tweaking and code editing to get it just right. Proof positive I can work with any budget and provide either tweaked themes or fully customized ones!
  • Readings by Waterfal13 - Psychic offers a variety of readings via phone, IM, or email. She also needed a brand new site, as her other one gave her too many limitations and didn’t give the opportunity for flexibility or SEO. We’re now working on updating her content and doing some marketing work to get more traffic as well as provide a way for her to make some money by selling advertising on the site.
  • Maurice Walker - Nashville Council At-Large - You might remember Moe from the first season of “The Biggest Loser”, but now he’s garnering for a seat on the Nashville City Council. Moe and I met a while back and when he decided to run, he came looking for a campaign website. The site’s still in progress, but it’s live.

So there you have it… there are a few more in the works right now, but we’re trying to focus more on the consulting and PR work we’re doing. We’re pretty busy on the design/SEO/marketing end, so if you’re interested, get in touch with us right away to book a spot on the schedule. If you’re looking for PR campaigns or on-site consulting, we’ve got a few spots open in the coming months, so act now!

Children’s Author Diana Metz

Posted on 12 September 2006 by Lara Kulpa

Children's Author Diana Metz (view site | view blog)

  • Design and development of main site using CSS and HTML. A table-free design!
  • Design and development of blog using WordPress and a customized theme.
  • Directory submissions, link exchange program, and other Internet Marketing projects.
  • On page Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to ensure proper navigational structure.
  • Creating and editing content - optimizing and ensuring fresh new content appears on the site on a regular basis.

Diana is a fantastic author of young adult fiction. Her old site was a very basic geocities site, and after a brief meeting on Neopets, I convinced her that it was time to “graduate” to something more professional. She agreed, and we got started right away with the main site.

About a month or so later, I got Diana into blogging. It provides a fantastic way for her to stay in touch with not only her readers, but with other writers like herself. Diana shares other parts of her life, favorite recipes, and so much more, that it helps her create a bond with others who get to catch a sneak peek into the life of an author.

  • Copywriting and publishing of client data, press releases, and project assesments.
  • Custom PHP programming in order to achieve the look and feel in client mock-ups.
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Services
  • Internet marketing - Article copywriting and editing, submissions, press releases, directory listings, and stats tracking.

Nectar Design - Product DevelopmentWe are so proud to be working with Nectar Design! Nectar is an award winning product development consultancy that helps its clients create products that connect to their users and expand their markets.

This site was probably the most challenging one we’ve had to date. Implementing a Content Management System (CMS) in order to allow Nectar’s employees easy access to updating content on the site was a no-brainer. Custom PHP programming was used to create different areas of the site, including the portfolio section, blog, and news areas. The site looks absolutely amazing, and we’re very proud of the way we were able to implement the design mock-ups sent to us by the client. It’s a clean, zen-like layout with easy navigation and sorting of content by category, type, and a behind-the-scenes rating system we added so that Nectar’s employees can sort their information however they see fit.

See what Nectar Design has to say about Anubis Marketing! (coming soon)
