Lara, will there be any “time-sensitive” aspects to the contest? I ask because I’m subscribed with Google Reader, but it often doesn’t update posts very quickly (not just for problogger), so I don’t want to miss something because of that. If there are aspects to the contest that will require quick action, I’ll just check the site often this week. I definitely don’t want to miss out, looks like a great contest!

Yes, there will be a few time-sensitive in regards to things like “the first X number of people to…” but for the most part, the ones where we’re just collecting comments or asking people to write something on their blogs will run for a minimum of 4 hours.
Make sure you are checking in - tomorrow’s post is going to be pretty hectic, and then the majority of the rest of the giveaways will be happening Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Salman - I’m not showing that your comments are appearing anywhere - not in the moderation queue OR in the spam filters… Are you sure you’re entering all the required information and waiting for the site to reload after pressing “submit”?
If anyone does get caught in moderation, there is no need to worry because we will clear everything (approve or delete) before choosing the winners - but that doesn’t seem to be the case here for you, Salman.
I’ll email you with some pricing and options regarding your site at some point today if that’s alright?

And about the comment I was using firefox till now and I thought it might be a cookie problem so used explorer to make the comment. It didn’t work there too. The comment isn’t showing…??
Please do request Darren to look into this as I don’t really want to miss any competition ..

Salman - that one went through, I just rescued it from Akismet myself.
It’s not anything Darren can do or not do - but whatever you did that 4th time worked… I have searched the Akismet spam files and cannot find any of the other three, so for some reason your setup wasn’t putting them through.
You do have to be patient though - if something goes into Akismet, I’ll have to manually rescue it (and believe me - you’re not the only one who wound up in there!) so it might not show up immediately, or even within an hour - but I will be going through before we pick the random entrants so please don’t worry - as long as you do whatever you did to post that 4th one, you’ll be fine!

Eric - You know you’re right! I know that at that time he was TRYING to sleep - but was too excited, and last night I was up until 4am working on things for the giveaway, and am up again at 730am to get right back on it!

this time I waited for almost 24hrs Lara but yet my comment on “write blogging tips” hasn’t come up yet..
I did the comment twice but it never came up..once with same email and next with another email and didn’t type the website address so that akismet leaves me…still it is not there..I checked the list of comments twice
and just to tell you when I left the first comment there were only around 6 comments there….so its been well lots of time..
I just never wanted to get burried in akisment ..
I went to donate my google story ebook to problogger as I love problogger and google too but this akismet thing is killing me.. I do need a free logo design prize man..

Salman - for starters, stop posting over and over again on ProBlogger… the more times you do that, the more Akismet thinks you’re a spammer.
Akismet’s not perfect - in fact I don’t use it here on this site because I don’t like the “learning curve” of it. But by getting yourself worked up over it like this and commenting over and over again, you’re actually “teaching” Akismet to think of you as a spammer even more.
Please… I told you many times that before we do the drawing, we go through and pull comments out of Aksimet that are valid. Your timestamp stays the same, you don’t wind up at the bottom of the list (not that it matters anyway). Please understand that this competition is generating hundreds and hundreds of comments per day, including those that are on Darren’s regular posts.
Please just try to be more patient?
