Have you been to EntreCard yet? If you’ve got a blog or other regularly updated site, it you might want to consider it.
What happens there is simply an exchange of credits, based on "dropping your card" (as you can see in our sidebar) and having others drop their card on your site. No one but you can see who’s dropped, but it’s the things you can do with those credits that matters.
You can buy advertising for 1 day on another site that uses EntreCard.
You can buy services from the EntreCard shop, like graphic design, SEO consults, and more.
You can also sell your EntreCard credits for CASH on eBay or via private sale, or you can use your credits to hold a contest where others can try to win them.
The whole point of EC is to get more visitors, get more traffic, and yes, to discover other blogs in your niche.

I am using Entrecard and it is great for driving great traffic to my blog. With entrecard I discovered a lot of great blogs and got a huge number of ideas from reading them
Now, I need time to try them all.
Thanks,
Nikolai

Thanks, I am very new to blogging and even newer to entrecard. Does it really work well?

Hi Rick!
Yes, EntreCard works if you put just a little time into it.
Here are my rules for making the most of it:
1. Put your entrecard box “above the fold” on your sidebar (so that users don’t have to scroll to find it).
2. Spend 10-15 mins a day (or more if you have it) dropping cards. It’s easy to start, you can either click on someone’s ad and then drop, then click and drop, or you can use the EC site to find your related category and go it that way.
3. Respond to ad requests promptly, and do not accept ads from sites that aren’t relevant to your target audience.
4. Place your ads once you’ve saved up some credits.
5. Lather, rinse, repeat.
I’m getting tons of traffic - not to say they’re all steadfast readers, but if even 10% are, that’s amazing.

Make good use of it by buying ads from other blogs as much as you can. The more ads you buy the more audience you’ll reach. It’s not the same with other types of ad exchanges where your ability to place an ad is limited by the impression you give. With entrecard, as long as you have the credits then you can buy and place ads as much as you like.

EntreCard is addictive. I spent 2-3 hours just going from site to site on Thursday. I love it, but I have to find a way for it to be more efficient if I am going to continue to use it to help my site get traffic.

I agree about the addictive part, John.
I think EC can be really good for getting your site noticed, however for getting traffic alone shouldn’t be the goal. It’s “quality traffic” that matters. Spend your credits wisely, and don’t just advertise on a blog because they require lots of EC’s to do so - there are plenty of blogs out there with decent traffic that don’t cost as many credits. Get that advertising on a relevant site, and you may find yourself with new subscribers and not just card droppers.
